expert advice needed regarding file size difference in mail

by a - 4/28/05 9:31 PM

Hi,

I recently downloaded a mp3 song attached
in a plain text email from gmail pop service.
The song size wa 4.66 mb. But the email size
was 6.33 mb. There was nothing else in the mail
except song attachment and it was a plain text
email.

Could anyone tell that for what the extra 1.67 mb
space in the mail message was used for?

Thanks.

Research email encoding and you'll get it.
