Just wondering.
I have a pair of Genesis 2s,1s and v-6s. These have some of the cleanest sound I've heard in a speaker and they can be found on E-Bay for very reasonable prices. The only problem withthem is that since these are vintage speakers you may have to replace the surrounds on the woofers (or depending on the model, the passive radiators). These are based on similar EPI models from the late 70s early 80s. The tweeter is has always been highly regarded and the bass output is clean and crisp. Even the model 1s will put most speakers made today to shame. You will have spend at least $1,000 bucks to match them.
Just curious to know how many people know of these GEMS.
The great thing is that these speakers are still supported by one of the last members of the company before it went out of business. Check out his web-site for more information.

Bought them new in 1977 when I got out of college. Used them continuously until about 1993 when I bought my Cambridge Ensemble II's, but still used them in another system in a bedroom. Just took them out of service, actually, as I don't have the room for these big cabinets - so they'll go into storage for a while. Sigh. And, yes, I know about Huw.

P.S. I was considering selling them for a couple of days, until I came to my senses!
Yeah, thats the draw back, they do have large enclosures. Still, if you have the room... Don't really need a sub-woofer with them though. I still use one for movies. Huw is a character for sure. For those of you who don't believe in the quality of these speakers, check out this DIY site. Huws drivers are very well regarded.
