I have an HP 8200 Scanner with ReadIris OCR that, in my opinion, is worthless. I want to change my OCR software to Omnipage Pro 14. When I go and talk to the folks at Omnipage I can't get anyone who seems to know if the HP 8200 and OP Pro 14 are compatible. I think that is important as some scanners don't work with some software (I have been told). So, in lieu of anyone at Omnipage giving me an answer, I appeal to the crowd here to see if anyone is using that combo with success, or whether any have tried it and had problems.
Thanks in advance.

Omniform is noted at http://www.scansoft.com/news/pressreleases/2003/20030616_hp.asp
Sorry, not a single bite about anyone using your specific scanner and Omnipage...

Thanks for the quick response. Although my scanner didn't come with Scansoft stuff, that news release gives me enough confidence to buy their product with an expectation that it will work.
Thanks again.

I tried to install Omnipage Pro 12. Thereafter when I would right click on a photo to rotate it, Omnipage Pro would try to re-install. The good folks at Omni wanted me to pay to fix their junk product. I deleted it from my computer. I'll not buy another of their products. Nothing like building in tech support income.
it is not possible to get to get a trial version of omnipage pro. although it is possble to get one from abby fine reader.
and people at scansoft are very difficult to reach.
