An unusual question... this isn't easy folks!

OK People,

Hey for those of you who don't know me they call me JC, and I'm here with a question. I've been around, read all you guy's reviews, but this is my first time posting with an actual question instead of a comment. As you may or may not know I'm a musician, I've been playing piano/keyboard for about 7 years and been learning guitar, bass, and drums recently also. This sets the stage for my question. Tell me if this chart is possible.

Guitar Bass Drums Synth Vocal

Save and burn song to CD

So thats it. I have 5 instruments that I want to record simultaneously, and I need to convert each instrument cable into a PC input. So in short I need to know what hardware and what software to get. I'd appriciate any ideas you guys could give me. Thanks!

JC

I think Roland or another name has some "studio in a backpack" you use with your laptop to do all that. I can't remember the maker, but yes, it's out there and cheap compared to just a few years ago.
