Palm and WiFi

by elvisfan - 3/25/05 2:18 PM

Hello, I have the Palmone WiFi card. It works fine at home. I can surf the net from anywhere in my house. However the free places don't work. Staples or Panera bread. It finds their network and connects. Then at Panera it just requests but never pulls down any detail. At Staples, I got to their home page. It said accept our terms and you are good to go. I click on the link and Webpro says "It cannot display this page on this device. Or not enough memory. I have a Tungsten T3 with plenty of memroy. Does anyone have any idea?

Most business networks use a firewall. The WebPro proxy settings will not work behind many firewalls. Try turning or the proxy, it is not really needed to surf. It just does some preformatting and caching for you. That is what I had to do at work.

Good Luck.
