In trying to clean out some no-longer-needed favorites from IE6, I noticed them return the next day. Even favorites moved into folders return to the general favorites list. These are not strange commercial sites, just normal stuff.
I've tried deleting and then immediately emptying the recycle bin, AdAware scan and fix, Spybot Search and Destroy scan and fix, and Hijack This, all to no avail.
Is this something wierd with IE6, or is something strange bouncing around my system?
Thanks!
Could the Personalized Favorites Menu feature in Internet Explorer be hiding some items and they show back up?
Some adware/spyware are known to not only add its own page to the favorites, but also saves the entire favorite list, including its own page, and restores it every time IE starts. I had a friend who couldn't add anything new to the favorits because of this. Adaware and Spybot S&D should have cleared this though...
Maybe you should switch to Mozilla. IE is just bad.
