Every hour or so, I go to Internet Options and delete cookies, temporary files, and history. But by doing this I have to log in again to my Yahoo e-mail and other sites that I go to frequently. How do I clear the clutter but not have to log in to sites again?
You can use a well known program that works wonders called robo form.

Of course it costs a one time fee of $15 U.S. They do have a free 30 trial period. It's very easy to set up and use. Even after buying a new computer I was able to return to the Cookie Pal website and redownload the program at no additional charge. Go to http://www.kburra.com/ for more info.
IE 6 will also allow you to block unwanted cookies and keep those you need to log-in to your accounts. In Tools, go to Internet Options, Privacy, under the settings tab, Advanced. Check the Override Automatic Cookie Handling, and check the Prompt boxes. This is not as good as an outside software program, but it should help.

This will open a Windows Explorer window displaying your Temporary Files and Cookies. Delete all cookies except the ones that you want to keep (ex: Yahoo). Whoever said that IE is all or nothing on deleting cookies is dead wrong.
FIREFOX: Go to Options and then Privacy. Expand "Cookies" by clicking the plus sign. Here you can "View Cookies" or create "Exceptions" for cookies you want to keep around.
There is no additional software that you need to manage cookies, although, some software does simplify the process along with giving control over other aspects of your browsing.
