Hi there,
I'm interested in a PDA Cell phone to use for Excel spreadsheets, e-mail, Web browsing and (possibly) gaming. Initially, I was tossed between the Audiovox-6601 and Treo Smart Phone, but am really unsure (as there are many options available). Although I have Sprint service, I'm thinking of other possibilities (as no matter who I go with, there will be some costs involved). I find the clamshell design to be more attractive & protective (& easier to use) than slide & hides, or open keypads (but do not want a Sidekick necessarily, as it doesn't offer all the features I need/want). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your help!
Sincerely,
Dew
Have you looked at the Motorola MPX?
Hi K-Mart, & Thanks for the response. I've looked at the MPx, and am interested, but see it's not available in the US yet. I'll be sure to keep my eyes open for it though. I dig the design.
I also like the Sony Clie UX50, but figure if I have to purchase a phone separately, I'd rather have it all in one PDA phone (such as the MPx)...Thanks again. ![]()
It is available for cingular in the US
I think you are referring to the MPX 220 from Motorola. There is a newer model coming soon called the MPX which is a dual hinged phone from Motorola.
Yes, the MPx300 is supposed to be out sometime this year. The only problem is the time frame in which it will be out...and if it will support CDMA mode. I'd ultimately like to find a PDA Phone with multi-mode (i.e. CDMA and GSM), that is unlocked...especially if I'm going to be spending alot for it. I don't want to be stuck with one provider (i.e. Sprint, TMo or others), if I decide to switch down the road. I guess I want it all
lol....but, for this kind of money, I can't afford to go wrong. I've thought about the PPC6600, but want to make sure that it's the right choice, and want to find it unlocked...Any thoughts?
