Recommended books for car tech??

by wfairley - 10/5/08 8:17 PM

I found a book at the local public library called "Geek My Ride", which has some excellent information on communicating with the vehicle's bus system, but the edition I found was 2005. Are there any newer books with information on connecting my laptop to my vehicle's network? I would love to create a fully digital dashboard, with instruments that I can "skin" like most mp3 players!

Hi, sounds like a cool project. Part of your question will depend on what bus system(s) your vehicle has- if you're running CANBUS than you can start reading online:

Happy Data reading :)
