123 Triad & Simply Interactive are nicely build around a combination of flash and HTML Web page design is not an easy task. Many people choose to hire professional web site designers. However, for those who wish to build the site themselves, many tools are available. With a little time and the right tools, you can build your own web site!
The following Link has good information http://webdesign.about.com/od/htmleditors/a/aa121304.htm
Flash option offers you:
• Fully animated navigation
• Mesmerizing visual effects
• Fast-loading sound and animation
• Content that fits any browser window regardless of screen resolution
I have heard "Sams Teach Yourself Macromedia Flash 8 in 24 Hours" by Phillip Kerman is very good, offers you a clearly-written, well-organized introduction to Macromedia Flash 8 without becoming too overwhelming.
I see 123triad.com uses wordpress blog. Wordpress is easy to manage and when set up correctly is very SEO friendly. 123triad it seems is using a combination of flash in the header and wordpress to drive the website, so basically you can use a software called swish to make a flash header and use wordpress to make a site like 123triad.

Flash is hard for beginners, I would suggest start with a simple software like swish and then improve on and learn flash.
I prefer joomla to wordpress anytime ! Yah Joomla is not for everyone, a bit hard for beginners but its more powerful than wordpress. Wordpress does the job as in 123triad.com, but joomla is the best.
You can check Google "Joomla v/s Wordpress" and see pros and cons of both.
