How can I transfer music from iTunes to Windows Media Player

by Nastawi - 9/26/06 8:05 PM

As the subject states, how can I transfer my music from iTunes over to Windows Media Player? I recently purchased a Creative Zen Neeon and am trying to transfer my music from iTunes onto it. Also, is it possible to play music that I purchased from iTunes on other MP3 players(i.e. Creative Zen Neeon)? Thanks for your help.

Not allowed, here's why.

The crux of the matter is DRM. To get to this point all sorts of barriers had to be erected to keep control of the songs purchased on iTunes. You agreed to these restrictions so don't complain to me. But worth knowing that without these restrictions there would be no iTunes and no opening of the market. We'd still be buying CDs which I feel isn't a bad idea.

iTunes recently lost/destroyed my licenses when I updated

iTunes to a new version. Fortunately, I had burned my stuff to CD/DVD (don't recall which). However, iTunes even refused to reimport some of the music from that disk. Windows Media Player happily imported every one of them with a high resolution format.
