After doing some light web searching I came upon this site (http://panjiva.com/Manufacturers-Of?q=viore) and discovered that the Viore TV is sourced via several Chinese manufacturers.
I am sure that the reason for the varied product and customer experience from Stock Keeping Units (SKU) delivered from your local Wal-Mart store is the inconsistant product control. There is no way for the distributor of the "Viore" TV, in the United States, to insure the consistant and controlled manufacturing specifications of the TV's when they are ordering sets from several different manufacturers in China.
They simply slap their name on the box, or better yet have the overseas maker slap the plastic VIORE Emblem on the outter shell and drop ship large quantities of cheaply manufactured tvs to the retailer.
This is a big import game where the owners of the VIORE brand name probably never sees any of the TV's ordered and shipped. They my receive a sample of the product offering from the various manufacturers in China, however when the deal is cut with Wal-mart it is probable FOB shipping point. Meaning the shippment goes directly to a large shipping ports in the US which provides Wal-mart a close transfer distance to their many large rural wharehouses.
If you look at the URL provided you will see that large quantities of VIORE TV's are ordered from several Chinese companies.
I hope this helps
