Need a camera to take pics of grandchild
by RachelDevin - 2/5/09 10:31 AMI need a camera I can fit in my purse (or smaller) so I can take pictures of my grandson. The one I have now takes forever to recycle. By the time the flash comes on, the moment is lost. I don't want to go to the next level and have a heavy camera to lug around. What do you suggest? HELP!

And it wasn't just down to the familiar flash recharge time, it would happen in daylight when flash was not involved: press button, long pause, click... too late. Eventually after wasting my employer's money, I discovered that the key phrase for this one is Shutter Lag. Only buy a camera that publishes this - and it needs to be quicker than 0.2 seconds. And at the same time of course check the flash recycle time. Save the moments - enjoy!
