Never do business with an online company that does not reveal their physical location.
This outfit has a toll free number
and
a Yahoo email address.
They show no physical address

Camera store focus in scam
Midwood biz ripped by buyers over bait and switch
BY JIMMY VIELKIND
DAILY NEWS WRITER
Talk about buyer beware.
Would-be clients of WaWa Digital, a mail-order Midwood camera supplier notorious for pushy sales, were told they had to buy overpriced accessories after being lured in by high-end cameras advertised at rock-bottom prices.
Consumers who backed off the classic bait and switch risked suffering the consequences - from someone who already had their credit card number.
"He said, 'I will ruin your credit,'" said Rochelle Parry, 43, a Web and graphic designer from northern Washington who ordered a $300 camera from WaWa Digital.
"I actually ended up getting sick after that episode," she said. "I had never been treated that way and I've bought a lot of things. I wish these guys could be shut down."
Over the past few months, the Better Business Bureau has logged dozens of complaints against WaWa, with some customers alleging credit card fraud.
Lorna Roskop, a 45-year-old teacher from suburban Kansas City, was hit with more than $15,000 in fraudulent charges when she canceled an order after giving her credit card information to WaWa Digital.
"We strongly suspect they had a hand in ensuring we were 'punished' for not buying a camera from them," Roskop wrote in an e-mail.
The News found a bare-bones store at Avenue O - with no signage - and employees initially admitted to working for Stargate Photo.
Workers then threatened reporters while denying allegations of credit card fraud.
"You stupid idiots! Low-lifes!" Scott Saff, 21, who claimed to be an employee of JES Digital, said while charging toward a News photographer. "It's not us."
He refused to elaborate on what business JES Digital engaged in, but the Better Business Bureau said the companies were the same.
"They have a pattern of complaints, mostly due to the bait and switch, gray market goods, high pressure sales tactics ... you name it," said Anthony Barbera, manager of information and investigations for the BBB NY office.
He noted that WaWa Digital received an "unsatisfactory" rating.
"It's not illegal to sell gray market goods, but it's the buyer beware," he said.
Some consumers say they will think twice before buying online again.
"At this point, I'm scared to death," said Amy, an Alabama customer who refused to give her last name after a run-in with the camera company.
"I'm not letting my guard down yet. I'm terrified of these people and what they could do. These are scammers."

thanks so much for this forum. I learned alot from here
I ordered a Sony Cyber-shot camera from Wa Wa Digital at a good price of $256. After placing the order I received a call asking what kind of memory stick I wanted. I replied "I don't know anything about memory sticks and just send the camera as is". The caller said the camera would only take 4 pictures at the time unless a memory stick was purchased. When I declined the caller tried to sell me a NEW Sony Cyber-shot for $350. What? Nothing in this sellers ad indicated the camera was refurbished. When I brought this to his attention he actually said "you must be the most stupid person in the world". At this point I asked to speak to his boss. He said he was the boss and cancelled my order. This seller is bait and switch, rude, and not to be trusted.
Cry about it.
May have made a bad mistake by chosing the lowest price from Froogle with these guys. Got a call the next day (ostensibly to confirm my address). Basically, it was a high pressure call to add to my order; extended battery, memory, etc. Prices quoted were way out of line. Lots of pressure. I refused. Wonder what will happen now.
SOP with this type of company is:
"If you don't buy the extra stuff, you don't get the camera."
If you call to check on your order......the camera you ordered will be on backorder.
Forever.
This type of operation is out to shear sheep.
If you will not let them shear you, they forget about you and wait for the next sheep.
In their eyes, there is an endless supply of sheep.

This is my first time with a scam internet order. I had the same experience of them calling to try to get me to buy more stuff. When I said no and I checked on my order status it said cancelled. I called and got the run around. Has anyone had the company actually bill their card? If yes what time frame was the transaction completed in? This experience opened my eyes to the smucks in the world.

They are horrendous. I tried to order a camera. Their website says they take Amex. They do not, as they called me a day later to let me know. Then I had to reorder the item with a different card. Then I had to call to confrim an online order (what's the point of ordering online if you have to call up?) Then I called up a week later to track the package and it had not even shipped (although it was supposed to have arrived already). Then I called to complain and the "owner" canceled the order. They are a joke.
Today before reading this CNet forum board, I was about to push the submit order button for a camera w/ all my credit card and personal info, when I had the caution to call Wawa Digital (no address or e-mail contact given) to gain assurance that the camera was new. The single digit IQ guy was a foreigner and was offended to be asked the question. He replied that everything they sell is new, so I asked if that means new in a sealed factory box. He said he wouldn't answer and, in retort to my asking why he couldn't give a polite answer, he made another rude statement. I asked where they were located and he snottily replied that it didn't matter. I told him he needed an attitude adjustment and hit the cancel button. I strongly suggest you do the same.
I'm pretty sure they are not US based and that they are not factory authorized dealers for anything. This could mean that they might sell a non-USA version with no warranty. I checked w/ Fuji and was told Wawa is NOT an authorized dealer, hence no warranty.
Did I mention the danger of credit card scamming?
