Accessing my Security (Internet enabled) DVR remoteyl

I can access my DVR from my desktop (Vista Ultimate) that is on the same network using the Q-see QSNDVR4R DVR IP address but I cannot access it from another computer not on my network. I suspect that the problem is in the setup of the Netview software but I have not been able to figure it out.

i want to help you but i dont know the details of your problem...can i know what you did on the DVR and your router? please supply me details of your problem... The name of the router you are using.. are you using dynamic IP address or Static IP Address? What is the complete name and version of your DVR.
We have the same DVR (Qsee) and i am using NETGEAR as a router. I already see my cam remotely through internet, i successfully configured it. I hope i can help you out..
