good cpu cooling unit?

i don't want water cooling just a good cpu cooling unit for my amd athlon 64 x2 6000+ it's running at about 62-64C under stress tests right now at stock clock speeds, i wan't to overclock but first i want to drop my stock temperature quite a bit before i think about turning things up. the computer is a gateway gt5656 ofr any other specs and the case size

I recently ran into this issue but the owner remarked they had pulled off the CPU heatsink+fan (HSF) to check it. They forgot to refresh the heatsink 'compound.' I cleaned it off, put on some Arctic Silver and the temp dropped back to normal for that machine.

This still requires compound and proper installation.

by much be prepared for a battle. This is not easy to do. I'd suggest you add a slot fan

And if you have an available hard drive bay add a hard drive fan to your system as a stand allow unit. With the drive bay door propped open

choose a copper CPU cooler over an aluminum one.

The fan is also important. If your not interested in having your PC sound like an F-22 fighter jet; you may wish to seek a unit with a very quite fan.
