I'm looking for a Macintosh alternative to Libra; that is, a program that can catalog my book, LP and CD collection, etc. Any recommendations on the subject are welcome! Using Mac OS 10.5.-V.
fits all that you have just asked about.
You can even use your built-in iSight camera to scan the bar codes on the items and have the application fill in all the details.
It's neat and very powerful

Get Bookpedia from Bruji.com.
Also have DVD, CD, and Gamepedia, in addition to Book.
Try collectorz.com
They have applications for music, books, movies, etc.
They are working on iTunes apps. I have used the movies successfully.
I use booxter. It supports a bar code scanner which makes it easy to add material. When you scan it goes on line and gets all the information about the item and fills out the form automatically.
