Running leopard on G5 dual 2ghz, 3gb memory,hp lightscribe dvd burner.
Have perian installed.
Since you're a Mac-based user, recommend you this 4-in-1 DVD Converter Ultimate for Mac http://www.iskysoft.com/dvd-converter-ultimate-mac.html#136 which integrates 4 multimedia applications --- DVD Ripper for Mac, Video Converter for Mac, DVD Creator for Mac and DVD Copy for Mac, compatible with Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
I use it for my office Mac to convert video to DVD or cut video clips from DVD movie for web editing, sure to meet your need to convert AVI to DVD ISO or DVD folder.
The audio is using a codec that can't be decoded by Toast. You'll need to install a system-wide codec, or use other software. There's a number of similar discussions over at videohelp.com on Mac AVI to DVD (I've seen them, not read them, not my thing).
