Hello,
I need to find a quality DVD-to-AppleTV converting software. There seems to be a wide variety out there and most of the developers I have never heard about. Normally I get a good idea when I am shopping for software from VersionTracker.com, but they only list one or two of the products. Asking this same question on the Apple Discussions Board gets shut down because of the dreaded encryption legalities. Yup, tried a few trials (as well as Handbrake) with mixed results.
So, can anyone recommend some reliable software here?
More microchips than sense,
Dr. Z.
I'll just threw this out here; DVDfab 6.
But it seem like there are more than one companies out here using the dvdfab though. The one that I tried has a 30 days trial; it seems pretty nice but kinda expensive. $50 for a year, $56 for 2, and $60 for 3yr. (dvd to dvd). The other application maybe cheaper (dvd to mobile or files to mobile), which might be what you're after.
I am using Any DVD Converter Pro to convert DVD to my Apple TV.
As long as I use it, I feel it is very easy to use, there is just Apple TV output profile pre-set in the right panel of the sw, you can just select it and convert the videos. You do not need set any parameters at all. Put the converted to your Apple TV, then you are able to watch your videos on Apple TV.
Since Apple TV plays HD video with high picture quality,
Free DVD ripper software for Mac-user: http://handbrake.fr or $39 iSkysoft DVD Ripper for Mac http://www.iskysoft.com/dvd-ripper-mac.html
And DVD ripper software for Win-user: http://www.dvd-ripper-copy.com/dvd-ripper-platinum.html#136 which can crack the DDV copy protection, convert DVD into HD video for Apple TV.
You need to compare different products before you but it. Why not look for some related reviews. It is useful. Like www.macdvdrippers.com/ list different DVD ripping software and their reviews, testing reports and comparison of different software etc. . You can get more information before buy it.
