New Website To Host Photos

I have my own Website already, nothing fancy but i get by with updating it and generally maintaining it. I enjoy this site and what i was looking at doing next was hosting another website which is purely for the hosting and displaying of photos. I like the useability of Facebook and would look for a similar type website which enables people to link to the photos and view as a slideshow or individually etc. What i do not want is all the advertisements which is why i want to have my own website that i control the content of. It would be nice to enable people to be able to upload photos with a title but do not want permissions to delete or edit.
I am probably asking too much here but any thoughts, suggestions or experiences would be gratefully received

The problem you didn't solve was how such a site could stay around for long. There are bills and such to be paid.

The Cost of the site i was thinking would be similar to that of any online hosting plan with unlimited Storage.
The site is an idea for use by an association i am part of and would be funded by myself and possibly other member contributions.
It would not be for general public use, sorry should have made that clear. Just for like minded people with the same interest.
So why not phpbb3 and photo forums?

Now that i like 
As soon as there is an Auto installer for G3 (i would struggle to do it any other way. I think the communty would be very happy with that.
As for my own Personal Site. Would there be a straight forward way to add it to my website emmarky.com so i can have my own gallery. Even if you guys help with each stage of the upload?
