I have a few reports of Zone Alarm failures after installing SP3. Sadly I have yet to see the machines first hand so they were forced to uninstall and use the Microsoft Firewall or PC Tools firewall for now.

Using XP home and SP3
kb936929-sp3-x86-enu
I have Zone Alarm and have no issues. No Blocked intrusions. I tried Shields Up and passed with flying colors.
Anything you'd like me to try?
Rick
if people are are are having problems with sp3,they should just try something that will work with it.sp3 is made, to keep up with the times.i think sp3 is a good thing to have.
Microsoft does admit that is not quite ready for public release. The version which was hoped to be the release version went out last month and was found to still have some problems which were serious enough to hold it back.
if people are are are having problems with sp3 switch to a new computer - is that what you are saying
Thats like Chevron saying - we a have a new additive - now just run out and buy a NEW car
Both releases, RC1 & 2 worked without a hitch.
Installed ZoneAlarm free after SP3. No problems whatever.
Uninstall what you can, install the SP of choice, reinstall stuff after.
Microsoft is much like that certain child in the sand box...
that was 336mb.
They now have
Windows XP Service Pack 3 Release Candidate 2 via Windows Update that's 38kb from here

Hi Rick,
The link that you listed, is to trick your computer so that you can install sp3, via windows updates, on an sp2 machine. If you have a previous version of sp3, that has to be uninstalled first. There is a ’full’ installer, for current version build 3311, that is 315MB’s. One might want to have this ’full installer’ if one wanted to have a backup in case they needed to reformat at a later date. But of course, these are ’still’ not the final versions. As far as I know, anyway.
That’s it. The end.
Have a good one,
Eddie
that the agreement for SP3 has this inside of it?
"TIME-SENSITIVE SOFTWARE. The Software will
stop running three hundred sixty (360) days after
you install it. You will not receive any other notice.
You may not be able to access data used with the
Software when it stops running."
Machines you can't lose use of. I'm going to repeat that advice.
Hi People,
just thought I'd throw my 2c worth in. I'm Currently using the following:
Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3
v.3264 Build 2600 [slipstreamed full un-attend install]
On a Compaq Presario 1500 Notebook [Compaq 68P4C Ver. F.0D, 9/05/2003]
I've had no issues at all. My system has been the best it's ever been since I bought it!
Cal.
