I have 14.7 megapixel camera & the file sizes are too large

Is there free software for editing? I just wan tot be able to reduce the file size so I can upload pictures to websites such as ebay or craigslist. The camera takes beautiful photos but I cant list anything on ebay unless I figure out how to reduce the file size. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

1. IRFANVIEW.

Hint: Batch convert them
Explainer: Camera compression is not that great. Just try ONE picture and see what happens.

2. NET PAINT.

3. Corel Paintshop Pro X (free version.) Link only.

My Canon has a picture quality setting for such cases. I could use a lower one when making a picture for eBay then when making a picture I would like to print on 20x30". This directly translates to file size.

Great idea! I'll read my manual(What a novel idea.)
Thanks for the help.
