Troj/Zbot-JW includes functionality to:
- run automatically
- copy itself to the <WINDOWS>\system32 folder
- create files in the <WINDOWS>\system32 folder
When Troj/Zbot-JW is installed the following files are created:
<System>\twain_32\local.ds
<System>\twain_32\user.ds
<System>\twext.exe
The following registry entry is changed to run twext.exe on startup:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
