Have a brand new Imac G4 running Virtual PC. Need to be able to use a Dymo Label printer to print postage under Virtual PC (since postage is not supported under Mac OS), but the USB printer can't be seen by the Virtual PC session.
In Virtual PC I go into Settings for the USB port (at the bottom of the screen) and check the box to share the Dymo label printer on the PC, but it keeps unchecking it, and the dymo labeler is never seen by the Windows session.
The Dymo labeler works perfectly under the Mac OS, but that doesn't help print stamps.
Any one have an idea why the USB printer can't be checked and stay checked under the Settings for USB?
Is it the latest? Be aware I have nothing to offer firm here except 6.1.1 was out about Feb 10, 2004 and purported to fix more USB print issues.
Will check for live updates, but VPC was installed last week and was just purchased and is the 6.x version, as part of the install an update was done.
It is reported that VPC is supposed to just support USB printers, no known issues, but actually trying it shows it's not "seamless".
It would be surprising to see VPC 6.1.1 in a retail package. Usually I find such things are many months old.
6.1.1 was just 2-3 weeks ago! And again, was noted to "improve USB printer support."....

Did update to 6.1.1, didn't help, still can't enable USB devices.
At least they should be used to this sort of success...
Wish I could have offered more.
