Hi - if i use company laptop outside of my company's network i.e home, hotel etc. can my company track my internet surfing?
1) What can they check to track my usage?
2)Anything I can do to thwart their tracking?
Corporate computers have hidden caches, and temp files and folders that save all your usage. You didn't know this? Do you have full administrators rights or your own?
Have you not seen the firings done by companies that found employees surfing? Ever heard of software installed by employers to track your every keystroke and email?

Best to use your own laptop.

Let's just make this simple: Don't use a company laptop to do anything that might possibly be frowned upon by your employer.
Any attempt on your part to thwart tracking efforts could be grounds for firing. Is it worth your job to do whatever?
