System Restore and Sleep Mode?

by Walt H - 10/16/08 12:49 PM

Does System Restore still do it's "scheduled" job when computer is in sleep mode?

I placed this question here because I have two computers one running Vista SP1 and the other running XP SP3.

There is an option to wake and run the task but while in sleep mode, as presented the task will not run.

sleep/hibernate/standby can be trouble makers when least expected. It's usually best to leave the system on, or turned off when not in use if you want to trim a [couple] $ off the electric bill.
