How do I disable my vga/video port?

Please explain it step by step due to the fact Im clueless about computer's. I have a DELL Dimension 4700. Please help me with this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There were many models for me to wade through so all I can offer is that you can, in this model set your new card to be "PRIMARY"

Lol I dont even know how to do that. I need a step by step instruction or atleast tell me where to disable the onboard video port in device manager or bios. What is the name of the video port?

Go to the BIOS screen.
Find the AGP/PCI/Onboard item in the bios. Change it to the other selection IF and only if the new card doesn't automatically take over the primary job.

Remove the case
Insert the new card
Replace the case
Disconnect the video cable from the on-board connection
Connect it to the new card
Turn on the computer
Install the drivers that came with the new card
It should now take over as the primary video controller.
Click the Start button
Select Control Panel
Select System
Select Hardware
Select Device Manager
Under Display Adapters you should see your new card and the on board video adapter
Right click on the on-board video adapter
Select Disable
You are done!
