W..A...I.....T...I....N.....G FOR "PROXY"?

by cpmdave - 11/2/09 2:19 PM

I'm not sure what has happened...but, since I succumbed to google's request to download something called "CHROME" I have had strange problems, most of them relate to trying to get to a web site. It takes forever. It started with some form of a "waiting for a proxy" (I'm not exactly sure of the message). After some research, I unchecked "automatically detect settings". This eliminated the "proxy" message, but I still have a hard time getting to web sites. My F-secure security suite (Provided by my Charter cable ISP) seems up-to-date and working, so I hope I haven't got some malware. Is there something I don't know?
Is there a way to uninstall "CHROME" so I can see if that is the culprit?

Chrome is just a web browser

Chrome is just a web browser, so that's not your problem. You might want to get a couple malware scanners and make sure you haven't picked up some unwanted pests.

Thanks, but how do I uninstall this "CHROME" BROWSER?
