Hi - anyone out there capable of providing the reason/solution to the problem of when I click on a new page or link it does not open in full page - it opens in either half/quater page and I then have to click on maximise button to create full page. I have asked many so called experts but still to find one who can provide solution

..you could try "tabbed browsing" which is available in Internet Explorer 7 or later, Firefox, etc.
Or, tried this yet to make the window "almost" maximized..:
Open IE and click on any link. {b]Close the original window.
Now size the new window to full-screen by dragging the edges, *not* by hitting the maximise button. Now close the window.
Unfortunately, you've not told us which operating system or browser you are concerned with.
Hope this helps.

(but it might work for Firefox or Opera also) it's simple to learn the program your preference for the size of a new window: http://www.burzurq.com/forum/new_window_open_full_screen.html
I've read variants telling you to keep shift pressed when closing the window, but it isn't mentioned here.
And, by the way, don't you use a browser that uses tabs? Once you maximized the screen (and you can easily run the program maximized from the shortcut), new tabs are just as full-screen as old tabs. Quite easy.

nevantams, If you're using IE 6 or earlier or IE 7 follow the instructions at the links below.
How do I have an Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) or earlier version window open in the maximized position every time?

1. Click on the blue ribbon on top of your browser.
2. Drag the window so the upper left corner is in the upper left of your
monitor.
3. Now click on the lower right corner of your browser window and drag it
down to the lower right corner of your monitor.
4. Close the broswer window.
5. Open a new window.
The new window should be in full screen mode.
try downloading ie maximizer. I've used it for years. It works
