My os is Windows XP.As time goes on,my pc becomes much slower. What's the best way to make it fast?I'm a bit tired of reinstallation.
Have you run virus and spyware scans?
What do you have running in the background?
More information from you is needed. "My PC becomes much slower." Exactly what does that mean?
You should be updating antivirus every 7 days or less. Also, how much RAM do you have? Are you going to microsoft.com (security updates) or set your computer to automatically update.
You can download ADWARE 2007 for free and scan the computer. I have a feeling you have a virus. Also, delete your cookies.
First, uninstall any programs you don't use.. Next, if you haven't installed Service Pack 2 and all the Windows Updates, please do so.
Click on the link below and follow all of the procedures listed.. It may take a while to follow all the steps but it allow the computer to run a little smoother:
Cleanup Steps
Hope this helps.

What does "more steady" mean? I think I know and would suggest that you get and run registry repair software.
From here:

Some of these are free, some are for pay.
Also do a "check disk".
periodic defragmentation's can improve the speed of your PC. About every 20 hours of use would be my suggestion at least. I do mine daily.
Removing unused programs and junk files can help too.
If your PC is an older model consider a RAM memory up grade. For some idea of the type of RAM you need and the cost; see this link:

How are you set for an Internet connection? Going from dial up to DSL can really pick up the speed of things. If your using DSL consider a 10/100/100 Ethernet Adapter with 1GB of memory.
if u want make ur pc much faster,do overclocking.
You can follow these troubleshooting to boost the performance of your computer :--
1. Try to delete all the temporary internet files from your computer.
2. Try to uninstall the unwanted programs installed on your computer.
3. Try to perform the "defrag" and "diskcleanup" utility over the specific time.
4. Try to remove all the temporary internet files from your computer.
5. Scan your computer by using any updated antivirus program.
6. Try to install and download the "Antimalwarebytes" (freely available
7. Try to update "Antimalwarebytes".
8. Scan your computer using the "Antimalwarebytes".
9. Please follow the same procedure for "Superantispyware" as you done for "Antimalwarebytes".
You mentioned it three times in your post... Could you please provide a link to such so we could check out it's antispyware abilities?
Just curious...

I had done some tests a long time ago on XP on how to save RAM just my switching your themes. Here were my results:
large icons with media center theme
392MB
large icons with classic theme
390MB
small icons with classic theme
325MB
small icons with media center theme
330MB
Cleatype Font smoothing with small
icons with classic theme
325MB
standard font smoothing with small
icons with classic theme
267MB
So if you use the standard font smoothing with small desktop icons and the classic theme you can save over 100MB of RAM. I also spent a day with those settings and I did notice that my computer was noticeably much faster.
