I have macbook leopard about a year, and I'm still trying to find out what type of video card does it carry. Does anyone know what type or how do i found out what type of graphics card does the macbook have? thnx.
Macbook has Intel GMA X3100
and the
Macbook Pro has either
1. NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 256MB of GDDR3 memory and dual-link DVI
or
2 NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 512MB of GDDR3 SDRAM and dual-link DVI
Should you venture to the Apple site, probably a good place to start as they built the thing, pay a visit to the Support Tab, then click on Specifications and enter your serial number. You'll get your answer there too.
It is also possible that System Profiler, on your Macbook Leopard (not really a good description of your machine, by the way), will give you information about the graphics card.
How dat?
P
Or if you have an older MacBook Pro, then it might have ATI graphics. To find out, simply click on the Apple at the top of the screen, choose "About This Mac", and select "More Info". This opens up System Profiler (also accessible through the Utilities folder), and you can pull up the graphics tab. This pane will tell you everything you want to know. That should do it for you. If not, look at the Apple site like Peter said. Hope this helps.
