I am in the market to purchase a laptop that I plan to use to edit hi-def footage. I would like to write this hi-def footage to disc. What are the options and do I need a Blu-Ray/DVD Combo for this purpose? What will the Blu-Ray/DVD Combo buy me should I not need it to write hi-def footage to disc? I am not much of a movie buff, so I don't see the need the blu-ray for movie releases.
Sorry I haven't seen a BR recorder in a laptop that people are buying.
And putting HD content to play on your PS3 or such is discussed so I won't duplicate that but supply a search link -> http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=How+to+put+HD+content+on+DVD
So it is possible to get HD content on DVD media!
