USB Laptop HD Adapter for Thinkpad T43
by vegetata - 10/21/09 9:43 PMI have an old IBM Thinkpad T43 and it died. I would like to transfer some files from the hard drive to my other laptop using a "hard drive USB adapter". I see there are plenty on eBay but I am not sure if they work with my hard drive.. I'm not sure if my hard drive is different from 'standard' drives.. 2.5/SATA/IDE.. etc?? I don't even know what these mean, I'm not too tech savvy, please help! Where can I buy one that will fit my IBM HD, so I can plug it into my new laptop's USB port?

All the t43s appear to be IDE.

Remember these are fungible. I've had many brands.
