Dear John, will the testers of Windows 7 RC get a free edition fore the testings of this testedition. If so, how can we get it ???????
handeweerd@live.nl, and reserve E-mailaccount handeweerd@hotmail.com.
I hope so because we are testing it fore you !!!!!!!
Get an upgrade at %50 reduction is what we get, were you should complain is why they don't offer the same deal for the ultimate.
I read the condition and no were it said free OS for testing it.
For myself Microsoft, you should offer the upgrade at 50% also for the ULTIMATE so that you don't charge me another $15 or so per computer for the necessary codes's for the DVD player, You get my point Microsoft.
I am using xp-professional.
I would need a clean installation for windows 7E professional.
How can I do this?
http://crave.cnet.co.uk/software/0,39029471,49302789,00.htm seems to address again. Before you let that Windows 7 DVD anywhere near your home I strongly suggest you know that you could survive your hard disk contents performing the usual vanishing act.

I have windows Vista Ultimate, 32 bit. Can I upgrade to Windows 7, 64 bit?
I bought my PC with a downgrade to XP. From what was said I could go directly to Windows 7 by first using the Vista upgrade DVD to get to Vista and from there to Windows 7....
Ultimate Vista for Ultimate Windows 7 no downgrade path aloud and available as I am not sure as you did not mention it in your question?
For 32 bits to 64 bits version I don't know if that was your question but you can't install the upgrade directly on a Vista 32 bits when it is running but you will have to reboot and start the upgrade from there, you should download the Upgrade advisor in your case to find exactly what you want to do and how you want to do it before you start to have cold sweat.

I haven't seen this asked yet, but, I have Vista 64, and don't like that enough programs that I want aren't coded or whatever for 64 bit. I'm wanting to know if I can pay the upgrade price for home premium, but instead of installing the 64 bit, can I install the 32 bit version of 7? Are they going to try and force me to stay 64 bit? Thanks
I purchased an Acer 5535-5452 laptop August 2009 with the understanding that I would be eligible for the free Windows 7 upgrade. When I tried to apply, the list said this computer is not eligible. Do you know why? Also I was unable to use my HP Photosmart 1115 printer with Vista. Do you know why? I'm new at this and any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks
Just saw a statement on the Forum @ http://forums.cnet.com/5208-19411_102-0.html?threadID=344803&tag=forums06;forum-threads that buyers of new computers purchased on or after June 26, 2009 will get a free upgrade to Win 7. My purchase was directly from Dell with Vista Ultimate loaded.
How do I get the free upgrade from Microsoft?
Thanks!
