I dont know whether my flash disk is corrupted or dead??

this is my problem i dont know what happen to my flash disk,,
one day i was transferring my files from my flash to my pc then after i insert it to its port sudenly a warning show up and said "UNKNOWN DEVICE"
but before that incident i can use the flash normally.
what is the problem then?? and what can i do to resolve it??
pls help me out

It could also be a bad USB port, missing/corrupt/outdated driver, or other random glitch. Try connecting it to other USB ports on the same computer, restarting the computer, and connecting the drive to another computer. If the problem continues sporadically, copy all of your files off on an occasion when it does work and reformat the drive, then copy your files back on. General rule: one computer - it's the computer; all computers - it's the flash drive.
